Începând cu anul universitar 2008-2009 Monica Maria Coroş este asistent universitar la Facultatea de Business din cadrul Universităţii Babeş-Bolyai din Cluj-Napoca. Ea seminarizează disciplinele Management general, Managementul serviciilor din industria ospitalităţii şi Managementul agenţiei de turism. Ea a absolvit în anul 2005 specializarea Asistenţă Managerială, din cadrul Facultăţii de Business şi specializarea Comunicare şi Relaţii Publice din cadrul Facultăţii de Ştiinţe Politice şi Administrative, ambele din cadrul Universităţii Babeş-Bolyai din Cluj-Napoca. A urmat masteratul de Administrarea Afacerilor din cadrul Facultăţii de Business, pe care l-a absolvit în anul 2006. În octombrie 2006 a devenit doctorandă în domeniul Management la Facultatea de Ştiinţe Economice şi Gestiunea Afacerilor, din cadrul Universităţii Babeş-Bolyai din Cluj-Napoca, având ca temă de cercetare Managementul cererii şi ofertei turistice, obţinând titlul de doctor în Management în ianuarie 2014. Monica Maria Coroş a colaborat la elaborarea unui volum internaţional, a două manuale didactice şi este autor şi coautor a peste 30 de articole ştiinţifice şi de specialitate, publicate în străinătate şi în ţară. În anul universitar 2005/2006 a câştigat un premiu pentru cercetarea ştiinţifică studenţească, precum şi Premiul Rehau. A fost şi este membră în mai multe echipe de cercetare (atât în domeniul turismului, cât şi în cel al IMM-urilor).
