Biography

Lazăr Paul Sorin is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Business, Babeș-Bolyai University, and Director of OJFIR Cluj (2020–present), combining academic work with the management of EAFRD programs. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Management from Babeș-Bolyai University, completed a Master’s in Agrobusiness at FSEGA–UBB (2007–2008), and earned a PhD in Economics at UBB (1998–2009). Within the university, he has consistently taught General Management, Ecotourism and Rural Tourism, Management and Financing through European Funds, and Performance Management. His research is applied and interdisciplinary, with contributions to public policy and European funds (SAPARD/EAFRD), digital transformation in tourism and hospitality (ordinal models/GOLOGIT), investment behavior and financial education, the economics of sport and public health, and the socio-economic and cultural determinants of artificial intelligence development.
