Biography

Dacinia Crina Petrescu is a Professor at the Faculty of Business, Babes-Bolyai University, Romania. She holds a PhD in Economics (2003) from Babes-Bolyai University, Romania, two Habilitations – in Business (2022) and Marketing (2019), and a master in Marketing (2001) from Complutense University, Spain. Dacinia Crina Petrescu has more than 20 years of experience in consumer research for understanding behavior change, perceptions, and sustainable consumption, mainly related to food, agricultural practices, land use, and waste. She also studies other topics about negotiations and sustainable development. Dacinia Crina Petrescu is member of two research centers: ISUMADECIP and CECATO (Babes-Bolyai University). She was guest editor for special issues in Land Use Policy Journal and Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Ethics. She published in: Journal of Cleaner Production, Land Use Policy, Food Quality and Preference, Journal of Agricultural and Environmental Ethics, International Journal of Agricultural Sustainability, European Research on Management and Business Economics, etc.

Relevant research projects are:

- BIOTraCes - Biodiversity and Transformative Change for plural and nature positive societies (Horizon Europe project; 2022-2026; 11 partners from 9 countries; member);

- EIT Food RIS Consumer Engagement Labs (EIT projects; 2020; 2021; director);

- Team up for a circular economy: A collaborative approach between farmers, food services, retailers, and consumers for less food waste (PN-III-P4-ID-PCE project; 2022-2024; director).
