Biography

George Cordoș graduated from the Faculty of Economic Sciences and Business Administration at Babeș-Bolyai University in 2011, and in 2013 he completed his master’s studies in Accounting. In 2016, he successfully completed his doctoral studies in Accounting at the same university.

During his academic career, George Cordoș has published 23 scientific articles and book chapters. His research interests include audit reporting, accounting, corporate and public finance, the automotive industry, and digitalization.

Since 2015, he has been active in the private sector as a financial-accounting economist in the automotive field. Since 2018, he has been a faculty member at the Faculty of Business, where he combines professional experience with teaching, bringing practical examples, applied discussions, and relevant perspectives into the classroom for students.

Partnerships with the business environment

⦁ Since 2015, George has been active in the business environment, in the automotive sector, where he constantly encounters practical situations that complement and support his educational activities.

⦁ He owns a small rural tourism business, developed together with his family in the village of Brăișoru, Sâncraiu commune, Cluj County.

⦁ Over the past 10 years, he has collaborated with various companies to prepare the documentation required to access non-reimbursable funding under the RABLA and RABLA PLUS programs.

⦁ Currently, he holds the position of project manager for the RABLA and RABLA PLUS programs, managing relations with the Environmental Fund Administration.

International experience

⦁ George Cordoș has participated in 24 national and international scientific conferences, 10 of which were held outside Romania.

⦁ He has been involved in international projects at Babeș-Bolyai University both as a member of the target group (PEST, ADAPTYKES, ENELFA) and as a member of project teams (TRUST ME, SUBFLY), and he served as director for the POI 4.0 project.

⦁ Within these projects, he collaborated with international partners, contributing to the preparation of materials and gaining experience in the internationalization process, participating in working meetings in Hungary, Finland, France, and Norway.

⦁ In September 2023, he carried out an Erasmus mobility program in the United States at North Dakota State University in Fargo, North Dakota.
