Biography

Pop Iustin Atanasiu is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Business, Babeș-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca (teaching in accounting, auditing, and mergers & acquisitions; 2003–present). He is a certified expert accountant (member of CECCAR) and has taught, among others, “Financial Accounting Control and Audit,” “Control of Financial Statements,” “Foundations of Accounting,” and “Mergers and Acquisitions.” He earned a bachelor’s degree from the Faculty of Economic Sciences, Babeș-Bolyai University (Management, Accounting, and Financial Control), completed a Master’s in Business Administration at the Faculty of Business, Babeș-Bolyai University, a Master’s in European law and national business law at the Faculty of Law, Babeș-Bolyai University, and postgraduate studies in Accounting Management and Audit; he holds a PhD in Accounting (1 Decembrie University of Alba Iulia).

His research focuses on financial accounting and auditing, capital markets (bonds), mergers and acquisitions, financial education/digitalization, and EU funds; he has published over 40 works.
