Research activity is an essential component of our faculty, reflected in the commitment of the Faculty of Business staff to enhance the quality and impact of research. Faculty members have been able to establish their own research priorities within their individual academic career plans. Between 2019 and 2022, a total of 88 articles were published, most of them in journals indexed in Web of Science (Core Collection and ESCI) and ERIH+.
From the perspective of addressing topics aligned with the faculty’s priorities, the current situation is illustrated in the chart below. Several strongly represented fields stand out: tourism and hospitality, along with event management, which clearly dominate, representing about one third of the total publications reported for additional funding in 2023. Research interests in the area of sustainable development constitute the second major field of interest within the faculty. These are followed by general studies dedicated to business, agribusiness, food, agriculture, and consumer behavior. Given the context, the issues and challenges generated by the COVID-19 pandemic are addressed in about one tenth of the published articles.
