Faculty of Business

Elective and Optional Courses

Disciplinele opționale

Elective courses are offered in the form of course packages. They belong to the category of mandatory courses, but are considered “elective” because students can choose the courses that resonate with them and that they wish to explore in greater depth.

Disciplinele facultative

Facultative courses are designed to complement students’ education both in other fundamental areas of knowledge and in related specialized fields. The number of hours and corresponding credits are additional to those of the mandatory courses (both required and elective).

All bachelor’s and master’s curricula at UBB include two transversal facultative courses: Foundations of Entrepreneurship and Foundations of Humanities Education (Theory of Argumentation). Each course is allocated 3 ECTS credits and 2 hours of lectures per week. A student may choose a transversal facultative course only once during a study cycle, in any of the semesters in which it is offered.

The course Foundations of Entrepreneurship will be organized only in the second semester, entirely online, every Thursday from 18:00 to 20:00. The course page is: https://www.danmirceasuciu.ro/fundamente-de-antreprenoriat

The course Foundations of Humanities Education (Theory of Argumentation) will be conducted entirely online, every Wednesday from 18:00 to 20:00, according to the following semester distribution:

  • Semester I (i.e., odd semesters 1 and 3, depending on the year of study) – only for master’s programs;
  • Semester II (i.e., even semesters 2, 4, 6, and 8, depending on the year of study) – only for bachelor’s programs.
