The Faculty of Business of Babeș-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca provides students and teaching staff with a modern educational environment, equipped with advanced infrastructure and technology.
The faculty building is located at 7 Horea Street and hosts 9 lecture/seminar rooms and 2 laboratories equipped with state-of-the-art facilities. The amphitheater, with a capacity of 239 seats, is fitted with a videoconferencing system, interactive whiteboard, and Epson Laser projector. Rooms 216, 217, and 20 are equipped with similar technologies, including wireless microphones and Polycom Eagleeye cameras, thus facilitating interactive and online activities.
The laboratories are specially designed to support students’ practical activities. For example, Laboratory 3 – “Business Simulations in Hospitality and Tourism” – is equipped with 32 computers, business simulators (Ecosim Pro Account, Revas Simulation Games), specialized software (for human behavior research – iMotions Module – CORE; for data analysis and visualization – Tableau Creator; for simulation and analysis – Oracle Crystal Ball Classroom Faculty Edition; for automated data collection – Helium Scraper). In addition, this laboratory uses a suite of integrated devices that facilitate data collection, stimulus presentation, and the analysis of physiological and neural data recorded with neuroscience technologies (EGG Headset Kit Brain Visions, Eye tracking bar, Wearable eye tracker Pupil Invisible, Galvanic Skin Response Kit).
In terms of software, the faculty uses a wide range of applications to support the educational process. Among these are the business simulators Stratsim Country Manager, Stratsim Newshoes Simulation, Stratsim Marketing Simulation, as well as the statistical software Eviews 8.
The faculty has a total of 218 IT devices, including office and laboratory computers, and laptops for teaching and administrative staff. In addition, 31 printers and copiers, as well as 6 videoconferencing systems, are available, ensuring the necessary support for both academic and administrative activities.
Through this modern infrastructure and advanced technological equipment, the Faculty of Business aims to provide students with a learning environment tailored to the current labor market demands and to support the development of the skills required for a successful career in business.
