Ethnic (Moldovan)

Candidates who opt for places reserved for Romanians from everywhere (ethnic candidates) must submit additional documents during registration:

a) A set of documents in accordance with the methodology for the schooling of Romanians from everywhere, and

b) A declaration regarding affiliation to the Romanian cultural identity.

Ethnic Roma

Candidates who opt for places reserved for the Roma ethnic group must submit two additional documents during registration:

a) A standard request form, available on the UBB website, and

b) A letter from a Roma association certifying the affiliation to the Roma ethnicity.

Persons with Special Protection

Candidates who opt for places reserved for persons with special protection (placement) must submit two additional documents during registration:

a) A standard request form, available on the UBB website, and

b) Documents from DGASPC, certifying the implementation of special protection measures (placement center, foster care, etc.).

Admission fees

Bachelor's Degree

Admission Fee Payment – Bachelor's Program

The admission fee must be paid exclusively online, through the dedicated admission platform.

Breakdown of the Admission Fee:

  • The admission fee consists of the registration fee and the document processing fee.
  • The admission fee for one specialization is 250 RON, made up of:
    • 200 RON for the registration fee.
    • 50 RON for the document processing fee.
  • Candidates applying for multiple specializations within the Faculty of Business will only pay the registration fee (200 RON) once, and the document processing fee (50 RON) will be charged for each additional specialization selected.
  • Example: If you apply for two specializations within the Faculty of Business (AA; AAB; AAE; AASO; AASOE), you will pay: 200 + 50 + 50 = 300 RON.

Important Notes:

  • For the AA and AASO specializations, if you choose both full-time (IF) and distance learning (ID) options, no additional document processing fee will be charged. In this case, the fee is: 200 + 50 = 250 RON.
  • The admission exam fee for the knowledge contest (for each stage) is 200 RON. For candidates applying in the July/September admission session, this fee is equivalent to the registration fee for the admission contest, and they will only need to pay the processing fee of 50 RON for each specialization.

Exemptions from the Admission Fee:

a) Candidates who participated in the Knowledge Contest organized by the Faculty of Business are exempt from the registration fee (200 RON) if they attach the participation certificate to their application on the admission platform. The participation certificate will be sent by email.

b) Employees and children of employees at UBB, the Central University Library, as well as children of current or retired teaching staff and auxiliary teaching staff from higher education and pre-university institutions, are exempt from paying the registration fee.

c) The processing fee is not subject to exemptions or reductions and is non-refundable. The only exception is for candidates who are orphans of both parents or have come from placement centers. They are exempt from both the registration and processing fees. To benefit from this exemption, candidates must submit supporting documents.

d) When applying, candidates must declare whether they have applied to another faculty or specialization within Babeș-Bolyai University or to another public higher education institution in Romania.

e) Candidates who wish to apply to multiple specializations within the Faculty of Business must pay the processing fee (50 RON) for each specialization, while the registration fee (200 RON) is only paid for one specialization.

f) Categories specified in the Babeș-Bolyai University Admission Regulations for the 2025-2026 academic year, Section B, Chapter III, Para. 4. To benefit from these exemptions or reductions, supporting documents (e.g., work certificates, placement center certificates, or death certificates of parents) must be provided.

Admission fee payment is made exclusively online, through the admission platform.

◾ Admission fee amount:

The admission fee consists of the registration fee and the application processing fee.

The admission fee for one specialization is 250 RON, consisting of the registration fee (200 RON), and the application processing fee (50 RON).

Candidates wishing to enroll in multiple specializations of the Faculty of Business will pay the registration fee (200 RON) only once and the processing fee (50 RON) for each additional chosen specialization.

If you enroll in two of the Faculty of Business specializations (AA; MH; IBA; AAOTI), you must pay: 200 + 50 + 50 = 300 RON.

Attention! In the case of AA and MH specializations, if opting for both the in-person (IF) and reduced frequency (IFR) forms, no additional processing fee is charged. In this case, the fee is: 200 + 50 = 250 RON.

The fee for participating in the Knowledge Contest (for each stage) is 200 RON, which for candidates enrolling in the July/September admission session, is equivalent to the registration fee for the admission contest. The candidate will only pay the processing fee of 50 RON for each specialization.

◾ Exemptions from paying the admission fee:

a) Employees and children of UBB employees, the Central University Library, as well as the children of teaching and auxiliary teaching staff, either active or retired, from higher education institutions and pre-university education, are exempt from paying the registration fee.

Selection Criteria for All Specializations

  1. Motivational Essay
    • Written in the language of instruction of the program
    • Graded as "Admitted" or "Rejected"
  2. Calculation of the Admission Average:
    • 100% of the high school graduation exam average if the candidate did not participate in the Knowledge Contest and does not wish to take this score into account.
    • 100% of the high school graduation exam average + 10% of the score from the Knowledge Contest if the score obtained is at least 6.00 (sixty percent). In this case, the final score cannot exceed 10.00 (a perfect score).
  3. The Knowledge Contest consists of three sections:
    • Business Concept
    • Economics
    • Mathematics

All details regarding the sections will be communicated in the Knowledge Contest Regulation.

  1. Contest Dates for Economics and Mathematics Sections:
    • Stage I – April 12, 2025
    • Stage II – July 5, 2025
  2. The Business Concept Section will take place on April 4, 2025.

Master's Degree

Selection Criteria (for all programs):

  1. Bachelor’s Exam Average
    • Weight: 30% of the final average
  2. Bachelor’s Degree Study Year Average
    • Weight: 50% of the final average
  3. Interview
    • Weight: 20% of the final average

Candidates must submit a language proficiency certificate.

  • The minimum accepted threshold for admission to the master's program is B1 level.

Tie-break Criteria (in case of equal averages):

  1. Criterion 1: The average from the last year of the bachelor’s degree studies.
  2. Criterion 2: The average from the second-to-last year of the bachelor’s degree studies.
